The Middletown Ministerial Alliance was formed 7 years ago by a group of African American Pastors from the Middletown area. The primary mission of the Alliance is to support one another while uniting in the common goal of strengthening our communities and leaving a lasting and impacting legacy, both spiritually and holistically, for future generations. The Alliance is focused presently on 4 areas that are an intricate part of our outreach going forward, and the foundation of all future goals.
They are:
Housing, through education, financial and foreclosure counseling, and assistance with the home ownership process.
Public Safety, with an emphasis on conflict resolution, outreach and inner city support, focusing on involvement with homeless and shelter advocates.
Education, with a focus on presence and partnership with area schools and grants that are used to improve the quality of learning beyond the classroom.
Employment, which includes assisting people with finding gainful employment, working with area businesses to secure employment opportunities, and job training.
Collaboration of Pastors in the City of Middletown is to be a voice for the voiceless. The Middletown Ministerial Alliance has a 4 point of community concern agenda:
